History

The first production of glass containers started in the '50s. Thanks to Gaetano Marzotto's idea, an industrial complex was realized and built in North-East Italy. It was very diversified in its structure which was dedicated to the transformation of agricultural products coming from the surrounding countryside of the Veneto region.

The manufacture of bottles was necessary to pack and distribute milk and fruit juices. Since then, Zignago Vetro has evolved developing experience on food jars and cosmetic containers first, wine and olive oil bottles later, and finally containers for perfumery.

This never ending growing process has led to the creation of the Zignago Vetro Group, operating nowadays on a world-wide basis through five operative companies: Zignago Vetro S.p.A, Verreries Brosse S.a.S., Huta Szkla Czechy S.A., Vetri Speciali S.p.A (50% shareholding) and Vetreco S.r.l. (30% shareholding).
